Is it time to wean yet?!

Addie is counting down the days - she has made it very clear she has just about had enough as her role as a dairy bar!

We have picked our families!!!

The puppies had lots of fun this weekend and all made very clear decisions about what family was going to be their forever home!!  This is Addie and a couple of the  baby bergers relaxing in between visits!

CMT's Pick A Puppy and Concorde Ridge Leonbergers

It has been so exciting!!! We were asked if we would  be part of CMT's new reality show Pick A Puppy.  This show centres around one family's search for the "perfect puppy."  The family lists 3 breeds they are interested in  learning more about. The program  then tracks  the family  as they visit breeders and learn more about each of their selected breeds.  Based on their  visits the family determines which  breed  is the "right fit" for them.  Everyone must wait and watch the show for the final choice!What a great venue for people to become educated about different breeds of dogs!
The production unit arrived at the farm on Sunday and was here for approx 3 hours- our Leos and  baby bergers had a great time! Whether our puppy is selected or not- I thoroughly enjoyed meeting with the prospective family and am appreciative of having the opportunity to share information about my favorite topic!!!!

Addie's puppies- 4 weeks

This is a great time for puppy watching!! The puppies are starting to see each other as playmates rather than just pillows! There is lots of wrestling and "waddle" tag.

Enough Already!

You can probably imagine why Addie is wanting to spend less time with her brood!!! Fortunately the puppies are becoming much  less reliant on her as a food source and more focused on their "smoothies"!

Our First Day Outside

It was a "scary" day for the puppies!!! The feel of the grass on baby berger paws was a bit over stimulating!! However after a quick drink from Mom all was good with the world!!!!

Puppy Smoothies Rule!

It was a big day for the puppies yesterday , at 3 weeks old,  they finally figured out that the content of the puppy dishes  was actually consumable and not strictly for playing in!

As you can see the puppy smoothies ( goats milk , yogurt and cottage cheese)were delicious to eat as well as to wear! Addie had a tasty time cleaning up her baby bergers!

Our new Leo girl Edie and my grandson Bauer have a great time together! Who knew a whisk could be so much fun?!

Addie's litter week 2

The puppies continue  to grow and are becoming MUCH more vocal during "awake time", Addie nurses about every 3 hours and always comes to get me just before she goes in the whelping box- bottle in hand we both feed the little squirmers! Addie's food has been increased to 3 times her normal amount in order to keep up with milk production.  All the puppies' eyes and ears are open now so it is a whole new world for them!

CR New Arrival

What a great day! Our mare Tartufo presented us with the sweetest little filly Wing and A Prayer CR( Faith )  She arrived early Friday morning.  (Sire: Cabardino) Mom and baby doing well!!!
